Artist statement
Jacquesdesir explores themes of memory, the concept of time, decay, the process of vanishing, and the act of dreaming. Their work is inspired by alternate personalities, hypnagogic hallucinations, and liminal surreal spaces. Fascinated by forgotten objects and neglected architecture, they combine video, sculpture, and lighting design to create evocative, dreamlike installations.
