Artist statement
Juliet uses organic material to make sculptures and installations inspired by recurring cycles in nature. She captures moments in these cycles by casting objects to bring attention to the place between growth and decay and observe changes over time. Temporality and preservation are major themes in Juliet’s work. Entropy is evident, as after her initial control of site and materials they are left alone for nature and time to alter and sculpt.
