Artist statement
Kat is a multi award-winning landscape and nature artist, working primarily in soft pastel and charcoal with a mixed media approach. Drawing and observation underpin her practice. Invited to join the Pastel Society UK in 2021, Kat exhibits at their annual exhibitions at the Mall Galleries and tutors several of their workshops. Her work has featured in The Artist magazine, Artists and Illustrators, and the Pastel Journal of America. Her work can be found at the Lion Street Gallery, Haye-on-Wye. Progressing from a Re-Emerge residency to a Step Up studio, Kat is looking forward to revisiting painting and exploring printmaking as a natural extension of her drawing practice.
