Artist statement
Rachel Demuth is a ceramic artist with an MA in Fine Art (ceramics) from Bath Spa University 2024. She lives in Bath, England, and works in nature, studying landscapes. Her latest project was on Ash dieback and how to raise awareness of this disease through the medium of clay. Rachel’s work is hand-built, including large sculptures and smaller vessels; each piece is unique. Some are glazed with wood ash glazes, and others are left raw to disintegrate and return to the earth naturally.
