Artist statement
Valentina began her professional career in architecture, a path she pursued until relocating from Venezuela to Argentina in 2013. This move marked a significant career transition, as she shifted her focus to her long-standing interest in jewellery. In 2014, she founded the fashion jewellery brand Valentina Mander and simultaneously established a workshop to teach classes. Under her maiden name, Valentina Dorronsoro, she developed a parallel practice focused on experimental projects, exploring diverse materials such as biomaterials, epoxy resin, upcycled waste, and Japanese lacquer.
