Joanne Rush

Bio

Joanne is a novelist, short story writer and poet, featuring in collections that include Best British Short Stories. Her debut novel, Dancing on Knives, was published by Honno Press in 2025 and has been nominated for the Booker Prize. Joanne holds a PhD in English Literature from Cambridge University and has just completed a second PhD in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. She runs creative writing workshops both in Bath and online, with a focus on place, nature and women’s heritage.
